Do you have a Keurig? Are you getting tired of the same ol' coffee every morning? Well not anymore! Say hello to the k-cup Caramel Machiatto by a brand I can't remember and am absolutely not going to get out of my bed to try to figure out. It really is a great cup of joe in the morning even though it takes you two steps instead of just one to make, which can be a battle in the mornings if you tend to wake up like an angry chewbacca like myself. Once you take that first glorious sip though...you notice its a mighty fine taste but don't actually wake up until you've had a couple cups. Ergo, if you ever want to try something new, this mysterious brand has mocha lattes, vanilla lattes (2nd favorite), and Caramel Machiattos (#forthewin) and to me are worth the $293856 it costs for k-cups:D

Surprise mothernutter
I just want everyone to know that in the three years I've been at App State I have never EVER spent 18 dollars on food in Cascades. Well how much food did you get? I'll tell you, I got yogurt and nuts. That it! That's ALL!!! I knew nuts (the french quarter blend) are usually a tad bit more expensive than other groceries but got dang. I usually get them because I'm in love with the glazed covered peanuts and today I decided to get a few extras so that I have a snack for the next couple of days too...looking back now I may have been a little bit to excited while scooping those delicious little golden nuggets. And they are very good, so if you haven't had that combination of nuts, I would recommend it but try to over those cracker like sticks they have in it. They taste like moth balls (NOTE: I don't actually know what moth balls tastes like, only making a semi-educated guess).

How interesting....
Did you know that you can actually get more homework done when you don't simultaneously watch Netflix or TV? What an interesting fact I am currently learning! I just started Dalton's Friday assignment for tomorrow and it turns out that since my internet is down (I am currently blogging from my phone) I am not taking as long to finish up these notes. So weird how that works...just kidding I hate this. I am so incredibly bored that actually blogging seemed like a more entertaining activity that trying to answer these questions and read this chapter after working an eleven hour work day.
So chaaaa at some point I will leanrn not to procrastinate but if I haven't learned that lesson yet....I have super high doubts that I ever will.
On a musical note, anybody hear Zac Brown's new song homegrown? If not you should because it's super catchy and makes you excited for summer even though we've barely had a winter:)
Here's a link just in case you decide you want to have a little dance party inside your noggin...

Movies and Books, Books and Movies
It was only a matter of time before someone blogs about the infamous Fifty Shades of Grey. I went last Thursday at 10, super stoked about finally being able to see the movie I have been waiting to see since I finished the books almost two years ago and...I wasn't disappointed! Sure there were awkward moments (not for the reasons you think) that were brought about by dialogue in the book that you don't realize is weird until you hear it portrayed out loud. But other than that I was really happy to watch a movie that really does stick close to everything that happened in the book.
If you haven't read the books however and you're thinking of seeing the movie, I would highly recommend trying to have a quick read before then because it would be a whole lot more easier to follow along if you know what was happening in some of the gaps that the movie leaves off. That is one of the drawbacks of the movie, although it left out some of the more minor parts of the books, it didn't seem like it actually finished some of the scenes before they started a new one. So reading the book, like almost all other movies based on novels, would make it easier to understand some of what was left out.
So in conclusion, I am happy to see that the movie was able to live up to all the hype America gave it! Also, here are pictures of Jamie Dornan just because his face...

blogging for days
Remember that one time in class when Mr. Klien said, "If you don't have at least 100 words a day about your life..." well I really don't have 100 words to share a day. It's hard to try to think of things to say or post for assignments because there really isn't anything exciting worth sharing.
I could talk about work? Work was good, hard time getting out of the parking lot. I could share about school? It's great can't wait till spring break. And well that's about it. I can't even remember the last time I've been on twitter or even posted 'What's on my mind' on Facebook. So this blog thing is beginning to be more complicated than I was hoping for.

I'm dreaming of a white February
FINALLY! Winter has arrived in Boonetown and we are getting all the snow we've missed for the past couple months. Which is incredibly exciting, especially is App actually decides to CANCEL CLASSES like every other school in Watagua County usually does when the weather is abominably amazing.
There's such bliss being able to lie in your bed, watch Disney channel, drink coffee and know that right outside is a glorious sight....especially when you've been waiting for this since October:)
So if you excuse me, I have to finish watching this nail biting episode of Austin and Ally. Will they have been able to make a great band in a matter of a week? This is disney after all, where happy endings are rare and few...
Uhh so by the way...their song consisted on 'nah nah nah' as the only lyrics so I actually am a little dissappointed.

Dang it Boone!
I have been relatively lenient on this winter weather we have been having lately. Sure we just has snow last Monday, sure the temperature was in the teens last Thursday, and ok it was randomly hiking weather on Saturday, but dammit Boone! Coleman only has class two days a week and you choose the day I have a presentation to again become perfectly suitable weather to actually attend this class? Why? WHY? I had my hopes and you just crushed them...absolutely obliterated. I no longer believe in winter miracles and you have just become number one on my shit list. So thanks a ton, I'm now going to binge watch some Friends so that my anger can be replaced with sarcasm and happiness.

F is For Friends
Netflix is probably the most tragically amazing inventions out there. It is one of the few items on the internet that can be personified into a love/hate relationship (Pinterest coming in close second). If you ask me about it during the summer when I'm already doing nothing, I will say that Netflix is my best friend...during school; however, it's the spawn of Lucy (Lucifer).
I've heard a lot of great things about the show Friends so I figured 'eh, I'll just watch one episode'... those were my famous last words. This show is fantastic and I wish I had never started it because I tend to forget that I am actually a student and an employee and I do actually have to attend both school and work.
At this moment I am trying to finish up homework for three different classes, beginning to stress, wondering if I should go ahead and warm up KoKo (my Keurig), AND debating if I should "just watch one more episode".
Oh Friends dear, you are the worst influence on me but there is a good chance I will see you all tomorrow...or tonight...or now.

Snowboard information PLZ
I don't know if anyone in our class snowboards, but if they do I'm looking into buying one. I was looking at craigslist and saw some really nice packages that comes with the boots, bindings and board, but they are still kinda out of my price range. I think I want a 148 cm but I haven't decided if I want to go longer or not. So if anyone has any information about any boards for sale or maybe if you can comment some of the preferable brands to look into that would be awesome!!!

Autofill contact information
So I forgot to introduce myself to this blog last week. My name is Madisan (obviously since the blog tells you that), I am a CSD major as of right now but I have a tendency to go back and forth with future careers. I am from Georgia, about 30 minutes north of Atlanta, and decided to go out of state for college because 1) student loans out the ass are super exciting and 2) my little brother came up to App for a Duke program in 7th grade and since then I have been in love with the campus. Talking about brothers, I have 2 and an older sister who all went or still go to college in GA.
The reason I chose this major was because I have a background in Speech Therapy beginning in preschool. As a child I had difficulty pronouncing the /ɝ/, /ɚ/, and rhotic sounds. I was in therapy from preschool to fifth grade working on them. I also really enjoyed the fact that I got out of class for half an hour a week for it too.
Random things: I like to snowboard, pretend I am a great singer, read, watch TV, play trivia crack, and drink coffee...because coffee IS MA LIIIFEEE!!
