In October of 2014 my best friend's mother died of cancer, something she had been fighting practically since I met Hallie in kindergarten. She was such a huge part of my life but today her husband, Mr. Bruce, received a letter from one of Mrs. Chris' students. The letter was addressed to Mrs. Chris, unbeknownst to the author that she had passed, stating how much she had changed their life and wanted to thank her for it.
Mr. Bruce's post on Facebook was today about this letter was the material for his 25th day of happiness out of the 100 days of happiness challenge. Her oldest daughter is following in her footsteps of becoming a teacher and if this letter did anything, it definitely reinforced her excitement in becoming one.
Mrs. Chris was a teacher, and a great one at that, who was able to not only make an impact on her students lives but also anyone who was lucky enough to cross her path. She loved with her whole heart and her family is continuously reminded of that.
