I need to find a job but on the other hand I would rather move home for the summer. I've done it for the past two years, but this year will be the last summer at my actual home. I know my parents expect me to work instead because I need the money. I'm hoping that I will be able to help out a couple times this summer catering weddings, and if I do then I can still go home and travel back...which is a waste of gas of course. I don't know! Meh, I would like a job but I don't actually want to find a new place and be the new member and figure out what the deuce I am doing all over again.
Also, I don't think I'm ready to grow up yet.

TLC
TLC has got to be in the Guinness Book of World Records for have the most crazy ass shows. My roommate and I spent most of the day watching Hoarders and ended with a My Strange Addiction finale. It's amazing to see the environment some people are capable of living in, even though they are aware of the hazards that surround them. There was one episode about a lady who lost two husbands, having been with the last one for 14 years, and was living in filth with her two sons. Apparently the bus driver noticed how bad they smelt and got the school involved. By oh my gawd it broke my heart, especially when she started crying about how she was a bad omen and loses everyone. That was probably the only episode where I almost teared up, ESPECIALLY when there was a man who called in a few favors and got their electricity fixed, new mattresses, and a new basketball net. Yeah, I get emotional when people are too nice. It once happened while I was reading Jane Eyre and when Miss Temple (I think that was the name?) was the only one who was kind to her at the school. I cried while trying not to since I was in public...as in an airplane.

Almost there
FINALLY! The last week of actual classes are here and I don't know if I should be happy or stressed because it will be preceded by finals. Plus the fact that more things are due this week, which makes this one possibly more stressful that finals? I don't know I guess we will see. I already know I have so many blog entries about the end of the semester coming to a close, but I'm really excited/kinda not excited about it. I can't wait until after this week when I don't have to worry about projects, presentations, and papers due....and hopefully can stay away from Netflix long enough to accomplish it all.

Got Dang summer got me like...
Cumming, Georgia is the place that I had grown up for 21 years. I was there when the Avenues was not even an idea, and I was there when years later they changed it to the collection. The Mall of Georgia is where I had spent many hours school shopping, and it was those clothes that I would go home and use my barbie cash register to pretend I was a worker putting them away. The house I had spent all those years in went through many changes. From sharing a room with my sister, to getting my own room once my brothers moved into the toy room, to me myself moving into that room my senior year in high school. To the changes in the kitchen, and the back yard, then creating a sun room from a once open porch.
The front lawn has two pine islands where me and my best friend I met in kindergarten would climb trees and wait for my dad to come help us down. The back yard is where we played in the little house my dad built, jumping on the trampoline, or playing with the two wonderful dogs. The neighborhood is where we rode our scooters around, or the short amount of time we had bikes. Another friend lives in that neighborhood and I would always meet her at the stop sign, which was the half way point, so we could decide what to do that day.
This house is where I spent my whole life and in July my parents are moving to Birmingham. It is a great opportunity for my dad, and I'm so happy for him. But this house is where so many memories, good and bad, are held. It's just strange how once this summer is over, I won't be able to visit my parents in my home in Forsyth County, but in a distant house that is an added hour and a half to my drive. So many changes this summer and I don't like it. I know that life is about changes but I wasn't really prepared to say goodbye to my home.

Whoops
I planned for today to be super productive, but it wasn't and I forgot that I need to blog. I had a topic yesterday I was going to write about but since I was just about to go to bed before I remembered that I needed to finish a blog, I lack the motivation to write it. I can only think of sleep. Because I like sleep, and sleep is good and sleep is life #sleep. Right so to add a little more information in this practically useless blog, I'll write about The Longest Ride.
Anyone gone to see the movie yet? And if so, was it similar to the book? The book wasn't bad, but I think that because I have been reading too many action packed novels based on major archeological finds, this one seemed a little...anticlimactic? Not really a disappointing end but also not very exciting. It was still a good book though and I really want to see the movie of course.
Okay, blog done and now sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...

Lazy Lazy Sunday
This is probably the most relaxing Sunday's I've had in a while. I woke up hearing the rain patter against my window and them promptly went back to bed. Once I woke up the second time (and actually stayed up) I opened my blinds, lit my Bath and Body Works candle, and began vigorously working on...anything but homework, mainly Netflix. This rain, although a pest during the week, is so relaxing during the weekend when I can stay inside, read, watch TV, drink coffee, and look forward to the days when school is over. Which is finally almost there. FINALLY.

I can't hear yooouu
Our final for physics is to create our own device that correlates to the material studied this semester. I began thinking this would be super easy project but 29837847825350 dollars later I've finally gotten a kit to work, even though one of the microphones are a dud. I began wanting to make a laser microphone because the video and website made it sound so easy but turns out NOTHING WORKS! I don't know if it's my photocell or the photo transmitter that aren't working or the cables I've connected them to but in the end, both are just useless. It's so annoying and disappointing. I got the sound amplifier kit working at the moment so hopefully it stays that way until we have to present them in a couple of weeks...

Presentations
It's the dreaded word that I single out for every class...Presentations. By now, as a 21 year old who has about 16 years of school behind her, I would have hoped that the butterflies in my stomach and the nausea of having to stand up in front of the whole class to present a subject would have ceased by now. Wrong. OH MY GAWD SO WRONG. I can't stand it. Coleman's class by the way blows since all we do are presentations, but with her it's not so bad because everyone is looking to the front while you are in the back. I still get the nervousness but it's nothing compared to the sick feeling I get while walking to the front of the class to get ready to talk. Add to that the doubts in your head about whether or not your presentation has the critical information needed or if it is just a load of BS, or maybe you start comparing your presentation to those that have gone ahead already, or you notice that as soon it is time to talk you go completely mind numb and all the information you once had just goes out the window.
In ASL 1, I think last year, we had to do presentations but it was us signing a song or any other type of literature...and...oh my lawd I about died (exaggeration).
I really really hate presentations.

Fury 321
This weekend I spent in Rock Hill, SC. If you haven't been, it's an incredibly nice place with a Book-a-Million and a wait for it...TARGET! GASP! But what was even better was that Carowinds was about a twenty minute drive away, ergo, my roommate and I spent Saturday there. What we weren't expecting were the long lines and infinite number of people. In the nine hours we were there, we rode five rides (including the carousel) and got sunburnt...well I got sunburnt.
Out of all the rides we rode, the two and a half hour wait for the Fury 325 was absolutely worth it. It's incomparable to the other rides. You go straight up for what feel like miles, then when you are about to get to the top they speed you up and you begin the 82 degree plummet. It was exhilarating and quite possibly the best roller coaster I've been on in a while. So if you ever go to Carowinds, make sure you ride it, but don't be fooled by the line because little do you know that what you see is NOT what you get. There are more winds and turns to make behind the wooden wall too.
